From the very first woman in the Torah, we have stories of women doing the “wrong” thing. But were they always wrong? Were they ever wrong? This class will discuss several of the more prominent “bad girls” of the Bible, beginning with Eve, the original bad girl, and including such luminaries as Sarah, Tamar, and Rahab, the prostitute with a golden heart.
Three Sessions
Instructor: Rabbi Jennifer Singer
$90/person. Scholarships available.
There’s a saying about aging: Getting old is not for the faint of heart. We face many challenges as we age – physical, mental, and spiritual. Making the most of the time we have remaining can be a challenge, but it also can be exciting and rewarding.
In this three-part class we will explore Jewish wisdom on aging, discuss hopes and fears about the future, and create spiritual mission statements as we seek to make the most of the gift of aging.
Two sessions
Classes will be held on zoom.
Instructor: Rabbi Jennifer Singer

Many people are surprised to learn that Jewish lore and the Torah itself are full of angels. Using classical and modern art as well as songs and other texts (all in English) we will explore the role of angels in Judaism.
